SEABOX
SEABOX is a provider of solutions for Increased Oil Recovery (IOR). In particular we have a patented technology for treating raw seawater and making it suitable for injection into oil reservoirs. We work as an engineering partner and can supply subsea treatment units, technology licenses, or subsea injection designs. The blend of topsides treatment and subsea expertise, from our two mother companies (Poseidon Group & Apply Group), gives SEABOX a resource base of over 800 engineers to draw from. We have our offices in Stavanger Norway, and are part of a large Norwegian cluster of specialized companies supplying technology and services to the oil and gas industry world wide. Injection of treated seawater from topsides is the most common method for Increased Oil Recovery (IOR) from subsea reservoirs. We offer a new and cost-effective technology (SWIT) that allows injection systems to be placed on the seabed, giving:
• High quality injection water
• Flexibility in field waterflood design
• Reduced cost, weight, and space topsides
• No water flowlines from topsides to subsea wells
• An easy add on at any stage of field life
We work as an engineering partner and can supply subsea treatment units, technology licenses, or subsea injection designs. A SWIT pilot treatment plant was built and deployed in 2009. We are proud to announce that, as of July 2010, it has successfully achieved its objectives of proving the water treatment techniques and operational reliability.
