UKCS field development projects update |
 The number of UK offshore oil and gas projects currently under consideration for development has risen sharply over the last 12 months, pointing to the still substantial potential of this mature province. However, the report shows that reserves being developed or in production have declined, as possible new projects fail to meet companies’ economic criteria. This highlights continuing concern about the UK’s ability to attract the necessary investments to maximise the recovery of its oil and gas resources.
73 potential new field developments are reported in this year’s report, compared with 56 a year ago. These new fields are in all areas of the UKCS but with the majority being in the central North Sea and to the West of Shetland.

Hebron project news |
 Three companies, Fluor, AMEC, and SNC-Lavalin, have come together to form Nor'd Offshore - in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador to position for deliveries for the Hebron Topsides Project.

INTPOW Offshore Wind Supply Chain Conference |
 Norwegian Renewable Energy Partners - INTPOW, has gathered the most prominent speakers on offshore wind and supply chain development for INTPOW's 1st Offshore Wind Supply Chain Conference at the Felix Conference Center in Oslo, Norway on the 23rd of March.
Highly profiled speakers from The Crown Estate, British Wind Energy Association, Forewind, BVG Associates, Statoil, Statkraft, Eversheds, Master Marine, Norwind, GIEK and a number of other industrial, consulting and financing institutions will discuss the opportunities, challenges and requirements of the huge offshore wind development program in the North Sea.
In addition, the conference will feature a discussion on the exiting prospects of a supernational grid in the North Sea, profiling the opportunities of connecting the offshore wind farms in the North Sea and Norway to the rest of Europe.
