  • New Business Development Director: Bjørn Erik Noren

    To continue our success and safeguard our members' interests INTSOK sees the need to analyze the changes in the markets and develop our organization. To do this, we have seconded Bjørn Erik Noren from STATOIL ASA to fill our new position as Business Development Director. We wish him a warm welcome!

    Bjørn Erik  has close to 28 years of experience with international upstream business development and downstream crude oil sales, shipping and natural gas sales from both Statoil and Norsk Hydro. Bjørn`s previous position was as Lead Negotiator in Statoil’s international organization for development and production, where he has been working with Shtokman.

  • New Regional Director for China, Singapore and Korea: Gunn Vik

    INTSOK is happy to announce that we have seconded Gunn Vik  from STATOIL ASA as Regional Director for China, Singapore and Korea. Her main focus will be on the shipyards and global procurements strategies. Gunn will work closely with INTSOK`s regional directors for the Asian markets: Per Hagen, Werner Karlsson and Haakon Skretting.

    Gunn Vik has worked for Statoil/Hydro for 26 years and has long experience within procurement and supplier relations. She will head the new entry program for Korea and will be based in Oslo and Bergen.

  • Deepwater Exploration in Mexico

    Following a string of exploration successes by PEMEX in Mexican deepwater, INTSOK arranged a joint PEMEX - INTSOK Deepwater Technology Seminar last week. The seminar took place in Ciudad del Carmen and was attended by more than 140 people. 

    Mr. Javier Hinojosa, Vice President of Development in PEMEX E&P, gave a very good overview over the deepwater field developments in Mexico in his key note. You can download his presentation here.
     
    The presentations given by the INTSOK Partners were very well received by the PEMEX staff who were very inquisitive.

  • New Priority Project in Kazakhstan: TENGIZ

    INTSOK`s Local Oil and Gas Advisor, Mr. Aidyn Tumyshev, has provided us with information on a new priority project in Kazakhstan. The Tengiz field is an oil and gas field located in northwestern Kazakhstan's low-lying wetlands along the northeast shores of the Caspian Sea. 

    The project is now in a production phase and TCO is planning to expand production by 50% within 4 years.

  • Ghana: Optimism and new projects

    "Strengthening Local Content Through Collaboration" was one of the most popular Sessions at the Ghana Summit 2013. The Session was chaired by Mr. Willy Olsen, Associate Director for CWC and Special Advisor to INTSOK.

    In connection with the Conference Mr. Willy Olsen has provided us with a presentation on the oil and gas status in Ghana. Mr. Olsen is optimistic in his view on the country`s development and the impending new projects. The presentation can be downloaded here (for partners only)

  • Call For Papers!

Common themes for all of these developments currently being considered are remote areas and deep water (400-1500m). To showcase our capabilities in these 2 areas, INTSOK will host a Deep Water Conference in Perth, Australia on Thursday 14 November 2013.

  • BRAZIL: Network Meeting on May 22, 2013

    INTSOK has the pleasure of organizing a network meeting in Rio de Janeiro on May 22, 2013. The objective of the meeting is to learn more about business processes which will have impact on bid proposals.

    DNV and Vieira Rezende, partner Wikborg Rein & Co, will give presentations on local content requirements and certification, taxation laws on imported goods and the Repetro mechanism.
